Our tiny 5 1/2 pound girl is now 7 years old! We love her so much. She makes me smile all the time. This year for her birthday, she wanted to go swimming again! She has been having swim parties every year since she was 3. This year, I convinced her to have it at a different place because the other place was for preschoolers. Claire is a creature of habit and tradition! She likes for things to be the same every time and quickly lets us know the way things Should be if they are different. She remembers every tradition and everything that isn't a tradition. For example, she picked Tuesday and Friday nights for me to lay down with her at bedtime. She always remembers and reminds me when its one of those nights. If for some reason, we are not home or I am gone on one of those nights, she always lets me know we missed a night ;)

Claire loves to sing. She sings all the time. In the car, at the table, as she is walking and playing. She made her teacher laugh when she sang to her, "Name on your paper, first thing...with a pencil pleasseee".

Claire also loves to play puppy or tiger or cat. She can "talk" puppy talk. She loves to play pretend with Cora and her friends.

Claire is a kind sister. She adores Luke and loves to play with him. They like to play minecraft together on the same world. She is also very patient with Cora. She shares and thinks of her brother and sister anytime she gets a treat or gift. I can count on Claire to help me and to be responsible in the mornings when we are getting ready for school.

Claire is learning to play the piano, which is exciting for her. She still loves to dance, but doesn't want to take dance because she likes to dance her own way. She has gotten really good at riding her bike and rushes to the ally each day after school to ride bikes. Claire is also creative with drawing. She likes to play with legos and also write stories. She still loves for us to read books to her. Her favorite season is summer because she LOVES to swim! She would swim every day if she could.

Claire has always been our sunshine, but of course has bad days too! Just last week she declared in the car on the way to school, "I am just grumpy and don't want to be happy or go to school!" I laughed...because I so understand that feeling some days! I am proud of the girl she is becoming and I pray that she would be captured by God's love and that she would make knowing God and loving Him the most important things in her life.
